Solo Designer & Developer

About the project.

Hexli is a Wordle-style daily puzzle where you guess hex color codes — a brain game tailored for designers and anyone who lives in hex. Each round challenges color literacy and visual intuition: you read a swatch, reason about RGB values, and sharpen the same skills used in real design work. Built solo end to end — designed in Figma, then vibe-coded with Claude Code — with accessible dark and light modes so the puzzle stays comfortable in any lighting.

My role.

  • Owned the product end to end as a solo builder — concept, design, engineering, and App Store launch.
  • Designed gameplay and UI in Figma around a Wordle-like guess loop tuned for designers.
  • Built the game with Claude Code (vibe coding) from design to a shippable iOS experience.
  • Implemented dark and light modes with accessibility in mind.
  • Positioned Hexli as a fun brain game and practical color-skills workout for the design community.

Achieved.

  • Shipped a launched iOS game to the App Store as a solo builder.
  • Designed a daily puzzle loop that turns hex color literacy into addictive, skill-building practice for designers.
  • Shipped accessible dark and light modes so the game works comfortably day or night.
  • Designed the full visual system and interaction patterns in Figma before building.

Impact.

Most color games are novelty; Hexli is practice disguised as play. Designers get a quick daily challenge that trains the same hex intuition they use in Figma, CSS, and brand systems — without feeling like homework.

Skills in use.
